FAQ

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE & AFTER YOUR GLOW

PRE-APPOINTMENT PREP

  • A flawless tan starts with clean, smooth skin.

    • Shave 24 hours before your appointment.

    • Wax 48 hours before (body, brows, upper lip).

    • Thread brows ideally 24 hours before.

    • Get your pedicure done before your tan.

    • Shower and exfoliate (preferably the night before) using a non–oil-based exfoliator or glove.

    • Arrive with no makeup, deodorant, or perfume.

    • Stay hydrated throughout the week for smoother, longer-lasting results.

  • Yes! Our spray tan solutions are gentle and suitable for sensitive skin. Let us know beforehand so they can use a gentler formula and guide you on prep to avoid irritation.

  • Wear loose, dark clothing that you don’t mind getting a little color on. For in-studio appointments, you can also wear disposable undergarments or go nude if you prefer. Avoid tight fabrics that can rub off your tan immediately after your session.

  • For the best results, book your spray tan 1–3 days before your event. This allows the tan to fully develop and ensures you have a flawless, even glow on the big day.

POST-TAN CARE

    • Avoid sweating, gym sessions, or water for at least 24 hours.

    • Don’t touch your skin while your tan develops.

    • First rinse: Use lukewarm water only—no soap.

    • Rinse gently until the water runs clear.

    • Pat dry with a towel.

    • Apply a non-scented, hydrating lotion daily (avoid Aveeno).

    • Keep moisturizing to maintain your glow and prevent patchiness.

TAN REMOVAL

    • Apply body oil and let it sit for about 1 hour.

    • Soak in a warm bath with gentle soap or cleanser.

    • Exfoliate with a glove or scrub.

    • Repeat as needed until all color is removed.

EXPRESS VS. REGULAR TAN

  • Express Tan:
You control your shade by when you rinse:

    • 1 hour = glow

    • 2 hours = light

    • 3 hours = medium

    • 4 hours = dark

    • 5+ hours = very dark

After rinsing with water only, most of the color washes off but continues to develop for 24–48 hours.
You can moisturize 16–24 hours after rinsing.

    Regular Tan:

    • Rinse after 8 hours (up to 24 hours depending on the brand).

    • Available in light, medium, and dark shades with custom undertones to suit your skin.

TAN MAINTENANCE & RESULTS

    • Skipping exfoliation before your appointment.

    • Applying cream or oil before your tan.

    • Not moisturizing daily afterward.

    • Hormonal changes (PMS) may impact color development.

    • Sweating too soon can cause patchiness or faster fading.

    • Baths or long soaks can shorten the life of your tan.
